Where curiosity meets calm, and learning becomes a joyful adventure.
At Autism Family Support, we believe that every child—no matter their needs—deserves the chance to experience the magic of discovery. Our STEM and Sensory Science Activities program introduces children with autism and other special needs to science, technology, engineering, and math in a way that’s fun, inclusive, and deeply engaging.
This isn’t your average science lesson. It’s hands-on, sensory-rich, and filled with wide eyes, giggles, and “wow” moments. Whether we’re mixing fizzy potions, building tall towers, or playing with magnet mazes, every activity is designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and creativity—without overwhelming the senses.
Children get to touch, mix, build, and explore! From erupting volcanoes to light-up circuits and bubble-blowing machines, we make STEM come alive through safe, age-appropriate experiments. Each activity supports problem-solving, critical thinking, and sensory exploration.
We know that textures, visuals, and sounds matter. That’s why we use tactile-friendly materials like soft gels, smooth stones, squishy foam, kinetic sand, colourful liquids, and sensory-safe equipment. Every station is thoughtfully designed to match a wide range of sensory preferences, with options to explore—or step back—at each child’s comfort level.
Our staff are not just science-lovers—they’re sensory-aware, trained, and compassionate. We meet each child where they are, encourage exploration at their pace, and cheer them on every step of the way. No pressure. Just support, patience, and celebration of every small win.
For many children with autism, learning through sensory experience is far more powerful than passive instruction. These sessions support:
Hands-on learning and memory retention
Sensory processing and regulation
Social engagement through shared discovery
Confidence in trying new things
And most importantly—they make learning fun. When a child is smiling while building a bridge from marshmallows or mesmerized by a glowing lava lamp they made themselves, you know they’re connecting with the world in a meaningful way.
Autistic children and children with sensory processing needs
Families looking for relaxed, joyful learning experiences
Children who thrive through doing and exploring, rather than just listening
Whether your child is a budding engineer or simply curious about how the world works, our STEM & Sensory Activities offer a chance to learn, laugh, and grow in their own unique way.
Join us for a world of bubbling beakers, building blocks, flashing lights, and hands-on discovery—in a place where every child feels supported, seen, and inspired.
