Autism Connect and Play – Enriching Experiences for Autistic Children and Their Families
Autism Family Support is proud to present our Play Hub Initiative, Autism Connect and Play, funded by Zuto through Forever Manchester. Running from July 28 to November 10, this free program offered a welcoming and inclusive space for autistic children and their families to connect, play, and grow.
Program Highlights:
Autism Connect and Play provided a variety of activities to support sensory development, social skills, and creativity:
- Music Therapy
- Games & Soft Play
- Arts and Crafts
- Coloring & Liquid Paint
- Face Painting
- Sand Play with an Artist’s Guidance
Each session engaged children in unique, enriching experiences that fostered creativity, motor skills, and sensory processing.
Community and Parental Support:
The initiative brought families together, fostering a supportive community and reducing isolation. Parents also benefited from resources and workshops, gaining practical insights into sensory play and developmental support to use at home.
Safe, Inclusive, and Equipped Space:
With high-quality sensory toys, art supplies, and soft play equipment, we maintained a safe and accessible environment for all children. Each session included a “snacks day” to promote social interaction and healthy eating habits.
