Welcome to “Move, Play and Shine Together!” — a fun, supportive, and inclusive movement programme designed especially for autistic and special needs children to explore physical activity in a safe, understanding, and joyful environment.
Every session is built around the idea that every child can shine — through movement, play, and positive connection. This project is supported by Sport England and proudly delivered by Autism Family Support to help children enjoy the benefits of physical activity while having fun and making friends.
At Move, Play and Shine Together, children are encouraged to be active in their own way. Sessions are designed to help them:
Build confidence through movement and group play
Develop motor coordination and balance
Strengthen body awareness and focus
Experience the joy of team games and shared laughter
Celebrate every small step of progress in a positive and inclusive space
All sessions are led by experienced facilitators trained in autism awareness and sensory-friendly activity delivery.
1️⃣ Soft Ball Games – Gentle and fun activities that promote teamwork, coordination, and confidence.
2️⃣ Movement Circuits – Obstacle-style play combining jumps, stretches, and light challenges for all ability levels.
3️⃣ Balance Games – Fun exercises that develop posture, stability, and focus.
4️⃣ Gentle Stretching – Relaxing and calming exercises to end each session with peace and positivity.
